Welcome
We are a diverse and active group, meeting up in person at our Clubroom every Saturday morning for a social chinwag, the third Saturday of the month is our formal monthly meeting. We also meet up on HF and VHF for weekly nets. Our members participate in a variety of radio related activities including DXing, antenna design and construction, electronics, morse code, digital modes, radio restoration and of cause, socialising. Three hours drive north of Brisbane, Hervey Bay is a sheltered waterway between the mainland and Fraser Island. The area is renowned for its fishing, whale watching and relaxed lifestyle. Popular with tourist, Hervey Bay’s beaches stretch for 14 kilometres, offering families a safe haven to swim or just enjoy a leisurely beachside stroll. The area is also a popular retirement destination, home to a large number of amateur radio operators with plenty of activities to keep you occupied.
